Video of the Week: Hands-Free Sage's Twist 3 with Strap
This creative version of Sage's Twist 3 (Marichyasana 3) uses a strap around your hips and the shin of your bent knee shin to provide more stability for your pelvis and spine It also allows you to do the pose without using your hands to more actively strengthen the core and spinal muscles involved in twisting your spine. Although it will feel like you are not turning as much as when you use your hands, tune into the work and sensation of effort that are occurring in your core and back spinal muscles.
